A situation a lot of people find themselves in, visiting America for the first time. Due to the overwhelming presence of American Movies shaping Pop Culture, we‘ve been growing up with a collective imagery about America. A condition, which leads to an emotional confusion, feeling familiar with something strange. Finding myself in this situation, this series questions the boundaries of perception and revels the attraction that appears from it. The photographs have been taking during two visits of Austin, Texas in October 2015 and February 2016. This book was edited in April 2020 during the Corona Pandemie.
